VALUES AND FAITH FACTS

~ We believe the entire Bible, Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God given as the final and sole authority for Christian life through faith and practice.  (2 Peter 1:21;  2 Tim. 3:16)
~ We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit – equal in power and glory.  (Genesis 1:1;  I John 5:7)
~ We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son who is pre-existent, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, was sinless as man, died as a substitute sacrifice for sinners on a cross, was buried, rose from the grave, and will return to receive those who believe and love Him as Savior to be with Him forever.  (Isaiah 9:6, 7:14; Acts 1:10-11, 7:55-56)
~ We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, enlightens, and empowers His followers to live Godly lives.  (I Corinthians 12:13; John 3:36; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:1; Philippians 1:27)
~ We believe that man was created in the image of God to reflect His nature, and through Adam and Eve’s choice to be disobedient to God in the Garden, all mankind incurred their sin making us sinners in our nature and causing the image of God to be marred. (Romans 5:1, 3:23)
~We believe salvation comes without our deserving it through faith in Jesus Christ as God, apart from human ‘goodness’.  (Acts 3:19, 2:38, 4:12; I John 2:2; Hebrews 9:22; Romans 3:25, 10:9-11, Ephesians 1:7)
~We believe in the resurrection of the dead: those that are followers of Christ unto the resurrection of life and those who do not choose Christ will be lost unto the resurrection of death in hell for eternity.  (Revelations 20:4-5 & 11-15;  I Thessalonians 4:17)
~We believe in the spiritual unity of Christ’s followers who make up the church, being the body of Christ who is the Head.
~We believe all Christians are called to do the works of Christ here on earth, and that for this we have been equipped with spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit to accomplish this task.  (I Corinthians 12:28-31, 14:12)
~We believe in the power of Christ to bring healing and restoration to wounded hearts. (Acts 28:27)
~We believe it is the responsibility of the believer to walk with those who need to be restored. (Galatians 6:1,2
